UPDATE: Due to the closure of Fairfax County Schools on March 4 for inclement weather, the MCA-sponsored meeting with Dr Garza at McLean High School is canceled.
The McLean Citizens Association (MCA) cordially invites you to join them in a "Conversation with Dr. Karen Garza", the Fairfax County Public Schools Superintendent. The meeting is free and open to the public.
In her first eight months, Dr. Garza modified the FCPS website and budget documents to be more accessible and user-friendly. She is addressing concerns about large class sizes, the FCPS audit function, student assessments, teacher morale and working conditions, high school start times, and many other issues. She is also involved in the ongoing deliberations about the FCPS budget.
This event is your opportunity to learn how Dr. Garza proposes that we meet substantial challenges, and to weigh in with your thoughts and concerns.
There will be ample time for questions and answers.
