IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO LEARN ABOUT THE NEW VIRGINIA RESIDENTIAL SALES CONTRACT!
2015 is here and with it comes a new Virginia Residential Sales Contract that you need to be able to navigate and negotiate so that you are best able to represent your clients with full confidence. There are a variety of changes. And, you'll need to familiarize yourself with these changes.
So, with that in mind, please join MARCUS SIMON on January 24, 2015 from 2-4pm, at Ekko Title's McLean office for a discussion of the changes and an outline of what you need to know in order to successfully negotiate this Contract moving forward. Ekko Title will provide answers to questions such as:
- Why in the world were these sweeping changes made?
- What are the major differences between this new Contract and the Regional Sales Contract we've known?
- What new additional forms and addenda were created to supplement this new Contract?
- For those of us practicing in multiple jurisdictions, what does this mean for our practice elsewhere - are there also changes in DC/Maryland/WV?
- What associations are adopting this new contract (NVAR, PWAR, DAAR, FAAR, etc.)?
This class will provide serious insight, as Marcus sat on the NVAR Standard Forms Committee from 2006-2013 and can share the history of the Contract and will be able to offer serious insight into why these changes were made.
