EVERYDAY 25,000 PEOPLE, MOST OF THEM CHILDREN, DIE OF HUNGER OR HUNGER RELATED DISEASE! WHAT CAN WE DO?
STOP HUNGER NOW
ONE DAY: NOVEMBER 2, 2013
ONE GOAL: 300,000 MEALS
On Saturday, November 2 the McLean community will come together once again to package meals for school children in Haiti. We appreciate your support in past events and encourage you to join us for this one, our biggest yet. Our goal is to package 300,000 meals in three shifts starting at 8, 11, and 2. When we complete this event, McLean will have
packaged one million meals over the past three years! Please be a part of this event. We need 1100 volunteers so we need you to be a part of this!
Once again we will be at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at the corner of Westmoreland Street and Chain Bridge Road adjacent to the McLean shopping district. We will also be collecting food, personal care
and baby items for SHARE, the organization that helps needy families in the McLean community.
Please help us meet our goal. Volunteer on Saturday, November 2!!Together we can make a difference. Watch the Stop Hunger Now YouTube video to learn more about the work of this organization and to see the school children in Haiti eating the meals packaged by volunteers
