The McLean Community Players present the area premiere of Ken Ludwig’s comedy/thriller The Game’s Afoot, or Holmes for the Holidays. The Edgar Award–winning play opens Friday, September 26 and runs weekends through October 12 at the Alden Theatre in the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean. Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees on Sept. 28 and Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $18-$20 and are available at McLean Players.org or 866-811-4111.
