Staying Fit While You Sit: Tips to Keep Your Spine Healthy and Pain Free
Do you sit for long periods each day? Most do. Our bodies weren’t designed to sit for extended periods, but many of us end up doing just that while at work, sitting for up to 6 hours (or more) each day.
People who spend the majority of their days seated are more likely to experience low back pain, neck pain, headaches, carpal tunnel issues, and reduced circulation.
This program will address how to properly set up your workstation, illustrating how making a few minor changes can help to decrease problems and increase productivity. You’ll also learn about proper seated (and standing) postures that allow for optimal weight distribution and stress reduction. Seated exercises will be demonstrated that are effective for reducing/eliminating sitting induced low back pain and neck pain.
